watercolor wip - finished

Here is the finished watercolor.
I added some winsor yellow over the darks, cadmium yellow and cadmium red spots in the center.

My posts may be scarce before the New Year.

I'm finishing the petals one by one.
The more contrasted areas in the photo are still wet. They will be less contrasted when dry.
I have added a little winsor yellow in the center of the flower.

A postcard format I sold recently on eBay.
Watercolor and watercolor pencil. I like to explore the combination of these 2 media. I plan to do more with them.

Watercolor WIP continued

Now I'm filling the surfaces wet in wet with a mix of alizarin crimson and winsor dioxazine violet.
It takes some drying time because I cannot do adjacent surfaces.

Today, I began a rose macro in watercolor. I'll post the different steps here in the next few days.
Small format, 18*26cm, 7*10 inches on Lanaquarelle paper.

canneberges - cranberries

Cranberries in pastel. 30*40 cm, about 12*16 inches without frame.
I'm particularly fond of this one. I did it with multiple pastel "veils" and it has an interesting depth.

Experimenting with wet in wet in watercolor.

Pink Petals

A macro on petals, postcard format, watercolor on canson paper.
That kind of paper is not really a watercolor paper, but is heavy enough for it.
It makes a very interesting grainy effect.

fall landscape

This one is a small postcard format with sepia ink and a little blue watercolor.
It gives a faded look that suits automn and winter landscapes well I think.
